5 out of 4 - Kids' halftime hoodie & Wilbur

 Happy New Year 2023!

I hope you had the time to recharge during the holidays. I did and I spent some time in my sewing room.  First project of the year, is the 5 out of 4 patterns Kids halftime hoodie*.  He is not a big fan of hoodie so I made the sweater version and he loves it. 💙💚

The kids' halftime hoodie includes a few options:
- Hood or crewneck
- Regular or thumbhole cuffs
- Optional grommet or buttonholes for hood tie
- Kangaroo pocket

The kids' version is available in sizes 2-18 and there is also an adult version. I may have to try it.

A little bit about the fabric, I use an Eike brushed sweatshirt from L'Oiseau fabrics. The fabric is very soft and warm.  95% cotton and 5% Elastane stretch.  Same fabric than my Hoodie Dress

I also made him a new pair of Wilbur sweatpants* from 5 out of 4 patterns.  You can find my first version here with all the details for the pattern.

This time I used  French Terry from L'Oiseau fabrics. Maike Solid French terry Black 97% Cotton/ 3% Elastic (245 gsm)

All the best for the New Year!

5OO4 - Wilbur Sweatpants

My kids spend a lot of time in sweatpants, they don't like jeans!  I decided to try the Wilbur Sweatpants from 5 out of 4 patterns.  I like the shape of the leg, not too wide and not too skinny.  It was just perfect for my teenager skinny legs.

The pattern features a few options:

- Short and pants

- Hemmed and cuffed or encased elastic

- Waistband drawstring

- Side seam pockets

My version features the cuffed and side seam pockets. I see more of those in the future!

Pattern : Wibur Sweatpants *

Skill Level: Beginner

Designed for Knit fabric with minimal stretch I used a French Terry with 80% cotton, 20% poly (310gsm) from 5 Oceans Fabric

Take care,

Nadine
